Lab today didn't go as well as expected because firstly, it was slow. or rather, I was slow. And in being slow, i wanted to catch up with the rest, and so i hurriedly did my column and guess what. it wasn't well-packed. as a result, it took FOREVER (and i mean it) for the elution to progress and i waited and waited and waited...
The TLC didn't really make up for it either because out of all the three of us who were doing the same experiment, my TLC plate showed nothing (when its supposed to) gah! and then i didn't know how to draw the reaction mechanism so i went to search online but to no avail. so in the end, i had to settle for copying yun's mechanism.
so yeah. that's lab life for chemistry students. i fear the day that comes when our group switches to the organic side. its fasting for all of us on mondays.
so here i am ranting and raving about mondays and making no sense in this post at all. "Cheers" to more labs ahead.
